A Challenge & Opportunity 

The accounting industry is currently facing a significant challenge: a shortage of CPAs and accounting professionals. This crunch stems from various factors, including a decline in the number of accounting graduates and CPA exam candidates, stringent certification requirements, and career opportunities in other fields. This shortage has intensified workload pressures and stress levels among existing professionals, making it harder for firms to maintain optimal service levels. At YHB, we’re addressing this issue with robust recruitment strategies and by prioritizing our employees’ well-being to ensure we continue delivering exceptional service to our clients. 

Inspired by best practices across various industries, we have decided to implement a firm-wide closure from July 1st to July 5th. This decision stems from our commitment to ensuring our team can rest, recharge, and return to work with renewed energy and creativity. 

Company-wide vacations have proven to significantly reduce burnout and enhance productivity. By aligning our break, we allow every member of our team to fully disconnect without the fear of missing out or falling behind. This unified pause ensures everyone can enjoy their time off, knowing that their colleagues are doing the same. 

What This Means for You 

We recognize this may raise concerns about service continuity for our clients. Rest assured, we have meticulously planned this closure to ensure minimal disruption. Our dedicated team has made all necessary arrangements to guarantee your needs are met with the same level of excellence and support you have come to expect from YHB. 

This initiative also aligns with our efforts to attract and retain top talent. In a competitive job market, demonstrating a genuine commitment to our employees’ well-being sets us apart. We believe a balanced, supportive work environment is crucial. 

We kindly ask for your support during our firm-wide closure by proactively communicating any needs prior to July 1st or holding non-urgent communications until the week after. Your cooperation will help us ensure our team can fully benefit from this period of rest and return recharged, ready to provide you with the highest level of service.
