An IRS online account allows individuals to access account information including tax records, balances, and more. You can now control who can represent you before the IRS or even view your tax records through the “authorization” option. Within this, you can also approve and electronically sign Power of Attorneys (POAs) and other Tax Information Authorization (TIA) requests made by your individual tax professional.

The Online Account allows both tax professionals and individuals to safely upload and submit third-party authorizations forms. You can request POAs or TIAs online with Tax Pro Account.
