ABOUT JACOB
Jacob Deane is an Assurance Manager based in YHB’s Winchester office. He joined YHB after earning his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from James Madison University in 2017 and his Master of Science in Accounting in 2018.
EXPERIENCE
Since the beginning of his career, Jacob has worked primarily with financial institutions, gaining extensive experience performing assurance engagements and developing a strong understanding of the regulatory and operational environment facing community banks.
EXPERTISE
Jacob specializes in providing assurance services to financial institutions, with a particular focus on community banks. He enjoys building strong relationships with clients and believes that open communication is the foundation of a successful engagement.
His approach is collaborative and client focused. Whenever possible, Jacob prefers meeting with clients face-to-face because it encourages stronger relationships, improves communication, and allows challenges to be addressed more efficiently. He strives to be approachable, responsive, and proactive throughout every engagement whether remote or in-person, ensuring clients feel comfortable asking questions and discussing concerns as they arise.
OTHER INTERESTS
Outside of work, Jacob enjoys spending time with his family and following college football. He is an avid fan of both Virginia Tech and James Madison University and looks forward to football season each year.
