ABOUT BRAD
Brad Ryan is an Assurance Manager based in YHB’s Winchester office. He brings a well-rounded background in both public accounting and private industry, with experience spanning financial institutions and public company reporting. Brad earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from West Virginia University in 2013, graduating magna cum laude, and his Master’s degree in Professional Accountancy in 2014. He became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2015.
EXPERIENCE
Brad began his career at a regional accounting firm, where he spent six years progressing to a manager role with a primary focus on financial institutions. During this time, he performed external and internal audits, loan reviews, benefit plan audits, and consulting services, and gained experience working with public companies, including SOX 404 compliance and internal control evaluations.
He later transitioned to the private sector, serving as a financial reporting manager. In this role, he oversaw SEC reporting, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, as well as regulatory filings such as Call Reports and FR Y-9 reports. His experience also includes SOX internal control implementation and commercial credit analysis.

Brad specializes in internal and external audit, public company financial reporting, and internal controls. His background in both audit and industry provides a practical, well-informed perspective when helping clients navigate complex financial and regulatory requirements.
He is known for delivering thoughtful, detail-oriented solutions and working collaboratively with clients to strengthen processes, enhance reporting accuracy and internal controls, and support informed decision-making.
OTHER INTERESTS
Brad is actively involved in his community, serving as treasurer of the Auxiliary of Burlington United Methodist Family Services, Inc., a nonprofit supporting foster care, adoption, and recovery services. He also serves on the advisory committee of the Community Trust Foundation, which supports charitable initiatives across parts of Maryland and West Virginia.
Outside of work, Brad is an accomplished pianist and plays for Trinity United Methodist Church in Fort Ashby, WV.
