Makenzie Yeater

Makenzie Yeater is an Assurance Manager working remotely with YHB. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from West Virginia University in 2019, along with minors in communications and women and gender studies. Makenzie became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2020 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Makenzie provides assurance and tax services to a variety of organizations, with a strong focus on the not-for-profit sector. She has experience performing not-for-profit audits, HUD audits, and Single Audits, helping organizations navigate compliance requirements while supporting operational and financial transparency.

Makenzie specializes in not-for-profit assurance and compliance services, bringing a detail-oriented and collaborative approach to client engagements. She is committed to helping organizations understand complex reporting requirements and maintain confidence in their financial processes.

Her background in both assurance and tax services allows her to provide thoughtful guidance tailored to each client’s needs, while building strong working relationships through clear communication and responsiveness.

Outside of work, Makenzie enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time outdoors. She also loves spending time with her four cats and exploring new walking trails.
