Joel Hein is a Tax Manager based in YHB’s Middleburg office. With a client-focused approach, Joel values building strong relationships and strives to be a trusted advisor for individuals and businesses navigating complex tax matters.
Joel began his career in public accounting in 2012 at Dent K Burk Associates, which later merged with Brown Edwards & Company, L.L.P., where he advanced to the role of Senior Accountant. Over the course of a decade, he developed deep expertise across a wide range of tax services.
He specializes in estate and trust taxation and planning, as well as serving high-net-worth individuals. Joel also has extensive experience working with partnerships and corporations, along with a background in assisting nonprofit organizations. His broad technical knowledge and dedication to client service allow him to provide practical solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Joel holds both a Master of Accountancy (2011) and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting (2009) from East Tennessee State University.
Outside of the office, Joel enjoys spending time outdoors. He is an avid hiker and also pursues woodworking projects in his free time.
