YHB Hosts Non-Profit Organization Training
June is the time of year that accounting firms have non-profit organizations on our minds. June 30 is a traditional year-end for many non-profits. As a service to our non-profit organizations, Yount, Hyde & Barbour hosts an annual Non-Profit Symposium in June.
YHB has hosted this symposium in Winchester for 10 years. Last year we added Leesburg to our tour and in 2010, we added Richmond. We conduct this annual seminar for our clients and friends of the firm as part of our continued commitment to our communities. The inspiration for the seminars and further training is a result of client feedback.
This year’s focus included areas which are on all organizations minds: Board Governance, Internal Controls, Employment Issues, Strategic Planning, and Form 990. The government is looking deeper into non-profits more than ever. Transparency is key.
